Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Supplier Quality Compliance Manager to lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and Technicians here at our Staverton site. This role will require both UK and International travel to supplier facilities.

The role:

Reporting directly in to the Director of Quality, you will be responsible for the day to day leadership and success of our Supplier Quality function. This will include effective management of a team of Supplier Quality Engineers (both onsite and remote) and a Supplier Quality Technician. You will have accountability for all quality matters concerning the compliance of suppliers to regulatory requirements and Ontic’s Supplier Quality Assurance Requirements as well as approval, monitoring and revoking of a Supplier, which will be based on a supplier’s performance to regulatory and Ontic requirements. You will develop and maintain supplier selection and review strategies in concert with Supply Chain and Engineering where required whilst conducting visits/quality audits to assess technical/process capabilities for potential and existing suppliers.

About you:

You will be an expert in Quality Engineering principles and regulations such as UK CAA Part 21, Part 21G, 145 FAA and AS9100. You'll be a strong leader able to direct and organise effectively with solid communication skills at all levels. You'll also be confident with Root Cause Investigation techniques such as 8D, 5Whys, PDCA etc. A background in Aerospace is highly desirable for this role but strong experience in manufatcuring and assembly environments is essential.
