Nashville Record Pressing is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Compliance Associate to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine safety oversight with the critical management of workers' compensation claims, making a direct impact on our workforce's safety and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Compliance:

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, ensuring our manufacturing facilities remain in full compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety protocols and procedures to promote a zero-incident culture.
  • Lead engaging safety training sessions to empower employees with the knowledge they need to work safely and efficiently.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and near misses to uncover root causes and develop preventive measures to avoid future risks.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with local authorities and regulatory bodies regarding safety updates and compliance reporting.

Workers' Compensation:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all workers' compensation claims, managing each case from the initial injury report through to the employee’s return to work.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all workers' compensation incidents, ensuring that each case is documented thoroughly and in compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with our insurance provider, medical professionals, and internal teams to ensure smooth processing of claims, medical care, and appropriate accommodations for injured employees.
  • Monitor and manage claims-related costs, identifying trends and implementing proactive strategies to reduce claims and lower associated costs.
  • Work hand-in-hand with HR to address any employee concerns or questions related to their workers' compensation claims or workplace injuries.

Key Competencies:

  • Ability to see the connection between robust safety measures and the reduction of workers' compensation claims.
  • Strong understanding of both federal and Tennessee-specific safety and workers' compensation regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage and document multiple workers' compensation cases simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with employees at all levels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in safety compliance and workers' compensation management, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA standards and workers' compensation laws, especially within Tennessee.
  • Certification in workplace safety (such as OSHA 30-Hour Certification) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in safety training, incident investigation, and workers' compensation claims management, with a proven ability to maintain detailed records.
