We're seeking a Project manager to be a part of a global program for Risk Management and Compliance. This role involves being part of a team responsible for governance and oversight of changes to laws, rules, and regulations, establishing governance infrastructure, and reporting to senior management. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, collaborative, and have experience in large-scale programs in the risk management and compliance space.
As a Risk Management and Compliance Project Manager within Risk Management and Compliance team, you will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day governance and oversight of changes to laws, rules, and regulations impacting the firm’s 2nd Line Of Defense. Your role will involve supporting the Head of Risk Management & Compliance Legal and Regulatory Change Management (LRCM) with defining the operating model, establishing governance infrastructure and reporting requirements, and managing stakeholder engagements across the globe. You will also be assisting with timely and accurate escalation and reporting to senior management and applicable committees on the health of the program. Job responsibilities
- Own the development, production and enhancement (including automation) of reporting requirements across Risk Management & Compliance Legal and Regulatory Change Management (LRCM)
- Work collaboratively with broader LRCM Program teams (including technology & QA) and relevant SMEs to assist & keep abreast of developments, implementing best practices wherever possible
- Support the head of Risk Management & Compliance LRCM with key program initiatives
- Partner and seek synergies across the department to ensure a consistent approach on models and processes
- Become a subject matter expert on the Risk Management & Compliance LRCM process
- Identify challenges, issues and queries, facilitating resolution and closure and any requisite remediation
- Report on progress of Office of Legal Obligations (OLO) & LRCM to the Firmwide Risk Control Committee, OLO central and other Risk Management and OLO governance bodies (e.g. Regional Chief Risk Office forums)
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Bachelors degree required
- Experience with designing and building data analytics/visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx)
- Experience in Risk Management & Compliance, or similar second line of defense role
- Prior experience in a financial services firm
- Strong organizational skills, and exposure to issue and conflict resolution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal and influencing skills
- Able to challenge and work through issues to reach a resolution alongside other teams
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to quickly understand complex subject matter
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Advanced degrees or professional certifications a plus (e.g., PMP, PGMP)
- Prior experience in designing business requirements to drive technology enhancements in partnership with the product team is a plus
