About this Position:

As the Manager - Operational Compliance, you will lead the promotion and strengthening of an integrated, customer focused compliance services program. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that regulatory, operational, and public safety standards are met, directly contributing to the community's perception of liveability and quality of life. By leading compliance efforts in critical areas, such as water, quarry, waste management, and law enforcement, you will help shape how the compliance teams are viewed organisationally, not only as a regulatory necessity but as a key enabler of service excellence and public trust.

What we trust you to deliver:

  • Lead the Operational Compliance team to innovate in key areas like customer responsiveness, communications, and compliance strategies.

  • Develop and implement a solid framework and programs that enhances the ability of the team to meet customer needs across animal management, parking enforcement, and property compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with emerging legal requirements and proactively address reputational risks to the organisation.

  • Review and update education and enforcement strategies to ensure they are relevant, effective, and aligned with current legislation. 

What you will need to be successful:

  • Proven leadership experience in a compliance related role with strong people management skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements and the ability to translate complex compliance issues into clear actionable strategies.

  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to manage competing stakeholder interests and priorities.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development and mentoring a motivated team.

Full Time Parental Leave Term Contract until 31 December 2025: 70 hours a fortnight
