Description

We are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Operations and Compliance Analyst to help strengthen our Forticloud cybersecurity posture. This role focuses on monitoring daily security operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating security risks. The analyst will work closely with IT, security, and other departments to enforce cohesive security measures. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, security protocol expertise, and experience with compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Operations:

  • Monitor and respond to security alerts, incidents, and events alongside the security operations team.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in managing remediation processes with IT and development teams.
  • Perform regular system audits and security assessments to verify security effectiveness.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection systems).

Compliance and Governance:

  • Collaborate with compliance teams to align with regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, and NIST, and assist in audits.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in line with industry best practices.
  • Prepare for and manage audits, assessments, and reviews of information security policies.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software or networking, preferably in North America.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST) and compliance processes.
  • Experience with security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS) and risk management.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
  • RHCSA, RHCE, CCNA, CCNP.
  • Familiarity with cloud security practices and compliance.
  • Experience in incident response and disaster recovery planning.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $94,000 - $127,000 annually.  Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.  Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
