Overview

Position: Compliance Specialist

 

Location: Tustin, CA (on-site)

 

Pay: up to $26/hr.

 

Position Summary:

 

This position reports to the Senior Compliance Manager and will be responsible for various duties such as assisting in ensuring compliance with all state and federal rules and regulations. The Compliance Specialist must always exhibit an important level of professionalism and confidentiality, provide customer service to our internal and external customers, and focus on loan quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work collaboratively with Compliance Department to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to TILA, RESPA, ECOA, CFPB, HUD.
  • Participate in audit exams including coordinating materials.
  • Assist with audit review for HMDA compliance monitoring and reporting.
  • Create loan files as requested by State Exams and government agencies within specified timeframes.
  • Assist Case Transfer both internally and externally with other lenders.
  • Research and request overcharging of recording fees from Closing Agents and Title Company.
  • Other duties assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work on and track multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and LOS systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Education / Experience:

 

  • Encompass LOS preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of mortgage experience.
  • knowledge RESPA, TILA, TRID, HMDA

 

Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
