Hours of Work

37.5 hours per week (hours of work will be flexible and dictated by the needs of the business, therefore it is expected that the successful applicant will work those hours necessary to successfully discharge the duties of the role)

The Role

Overview

To support the compliance team in ensuring that the business complies with its obligations in relation to regulatory bodies and applicable legislation. To conduct detailed quality assurance checks to ensure that the Pure standard is maintained and to provide support to the operational teams.

Key Outputs

  • Conduct monthly quality assurance reviews on both newly completed Lifetime Mortgage files and long-standing accounts, with defined targets and objectives
  • Identify any areas of risk and provide feedback to team managers for individuals
  • Call monitoring
  • Ensure that all QA records are appropriately maintained and accurate. Providing timely MI to the Compliance team manager for upwards reporting
  • Assist with business wide queries via Microsoft teams, in person and Compliance inbox
  • Support and maintain a great working relationship with the wider business
  • Adhere to TCF principles and contribute to the Vulnerable Customer policy
  • Review and approve electronic identification requests
  • Improve and develop quality assurance processes
  • Undertake additional audit activities as required by the Compliance team manager

Has a keen eye for detail and is able to apply this to handling high volumes of file checking whilst retaining a high level of accuracy.

Skills & Experience

Mandatory

  • 1 or more years of experience in the Financial Services Sector
  • An excellent communicator with exceptional customer service manner
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • IT Literate
  • Excellent attention to detail

Desirable

  • An understanding of the FCA and financial regulation
  • Experience in the mortgage lending field and in particular the Lifetime Mortgage subsector
  • Experience in a QA or file checking role
  • Experience handling complex case queries

  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent
