About George Junior Republic:Founded in 1909, George Junior Republic (GJR) is dedicated to helping at-risk youth become successful, well-adjusted adults, capable of achieving a higher degree of citizenship and a better understanding of his responsibility to society, family and self. GJR and Affiliates serves youth, young adults, adults, and families through a range of programs.
Summary of the position: Reporting to the CEO, this administrative position manages compliance within the operating companies and programs. The Compliance Officer manages quality and outcomes measurement and management and is responsible for the Risk Management Plan. The Compliance Officer also works collaboratively with and oversees compliance efforts for George Junior Republic in PA, Preventative Aftercare, and George Junior Republic in Indiana specific projects.
REQUIREMENTSEducation: Master’s degree in a Human Services field or Master's in Business Administration
Years of Experience: At least 10 years of progressive administrative experience in quality and outcomes. Experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.
Computer Experience: Microsoft applications
Duties and Responsibilities |
Program Development, Coordination and Collaboration |
- Design new programming and services to strategically meet identified needs or gaps in service.
- Oversee implementation and compliance with national accreditation standards for GJR in PA programs.
- Provide oversight and supervision to newly developed programs to ensure compliance with contractual, state, federal and insurance guidelines.
- Monitor and improve existing programs.

National Accreditation |
- Complete the application and meet submission requirements for national accreditation.
- Work directly with administrative team members to prepare the personnel and the physical facility of the organization for initial accreditation.
- Support the organization in maintaining continued readiness for accreditation.
- Maintain current with changes to the accrediting standards and process.

Department Oversight |
- Supervise the following departments:
- Records
- Compliance/Outcomes/Quality/Organizational Risk
- Help coordinate various departmental services and operating procedures to maintain coordinated service delivery.
- Ensure sharing of information between departments and throughout the residential and ancillary programs.
- Provide oversight across the GJR affiliated system and compliance functions.

Licensing and Government Relations |
- Act as a liaison and monitor the interactions between the residential, drug and alcohol, and outpatient programs and the governing and regulating bodies including but not limited to the Pennsylvania Departments of Human Services; Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services; Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs; Office of Children, Youth and Families, other state and county oversight bodies, and various payers
- Review and respond to tracking and trending changes to attain continuous compliance and audit readiness
- Ensure the organization is compliant with all licensing and contractual requirements

Quality of Care and Treatment |
- Provide oversight to compliance and outcomes of the organization and support efforts related to quality control and improvement, program development and outcomes management
- Oversee quality and outcomes initiatives including the IMPACT Committee
- Provide administrative oversight of all residential, medical, and outpatient records

Contracts/Risk Management/Legal |
- Ensure that all facilities are within the operating guidelines of the regulating and licensing bodies as well as with contractual agreements
- Consult with legal counsel on an as needed basis

Budgeting |
- Develop and implement budgets in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer in order to ensure fiscal responsibility
- Monitor monthly spending and control expenses
|
Customer Relations |
- Maintain quality customer relations with all organizational constituents, contractors, and juvenile justice personnel
- Attend various organizational meetings and represent George Junior Republic’s services and programs
