Key Responsibilities

As the Commercial Insurance Producer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a profitable book of business focused on unique, high-value sectors. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Client Acquisition & Business Development

• Identify and pursue new commercial clients within niche and specialty markets including but not limited to, fine art and jewellers block.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and market research.
• Strategically grow your portfolio while identifying long-term relationship and cross-sell opportunities.

• Tailored Insurance Solutions

• Assess the risk profiles of potential and existing clients to create customized insurance programs aligned with their unique needs.
• Work closely with underwriting partners and support teams to ensure accuracy in quoting, binding, and policy execution.

• Relationship Management

• Serve as a trusted advisor by providing high-touch service and expert guidance to clients.
• Proactively manage renewals, resolve client concerns, and adjust coverage to reflect business changes.

• Industry Expertise & Market Insight

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, specialty markets, and evolving risks.
• Provide strategic input to internal teams based on client feedback and market conditions.

• Team Collaboration

• Work alongside account managers, administrative staff, and leadership to ensure seamless onboarding and exceptional service delivery.
• Share knowledge and participate in team sessions to promote continuous improvement and collaboration.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

• Licensing & Experience

• A diploma or degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
• RIBO license is preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in commercial insurance sales or account management, ideally with exposure to niche or specialty markets.

• Technical Skills

• Proficiency with insurance quoting platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Applied Epic is an asset.
• Familiarity with specialty insurance markets and high-value commercial lines is advantageous.
