The primary role of the Training and Compliance Supervisor (TCS) is to supervise and monitor all employee onboarding and compliance functions and to maintain an industry-leading training program. The TCS will supervise and collaborate with their team members to ensure compliance standards, best practice guidelines and customer service metrics are met. The core functions of this job include supervising staff, developing new training curriculum and feedback tools, understanding DDD funding source training and compliance requirements; designing, documenting, and enforcing policies and procedures; and ensuring compliance and best practices are met within their department.  
 

Schedule: This is a full-time role, and the anticipated work schedule is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. You should also be flexible for occasional evenings or weekends if needed to provide backup support for assigned staff.

Location: This role is HYBRID - 80% remote and 20% in-office(s). 

Pay:
The starting pay range for this role is $28-$36/hour DOE. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, monitor and support and assigned staff

  • Supervise, monitor and mentor the members of the Training and Compliance Unit 

  • Provide initial and ongoing training for assigned employees 

  • Oversee the work of all assigned employees to ensure performance standards are met 

  • Ensure that all procedures are kept current and documented in a way that can be easily understood and implemented by others 

  • Frequently observe the work of assigned staff and meet with them regularly to provide performance feedback and monitor progress towards goals 

  • Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions should the need arise 

  • Provide backup support for all assigned staff 

    Process Improvement 

  • Regularly audit the work of assigned staff to ensure it is accurate and timely

  • Identify ways to streamline processes and ensure seamless audits 

  • Identify areas for improvement and make suggestions for how to make those improvements 

  • Revise current processes and policies, and draft new ones as needed 

    Communication 

  • Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to provide high quality customer service and resolve challenges efficiently and effectively 

  • Collaborate with all levels of employees and management 

  • Work with Administrative, Operations, and Clinical teams to develop, implement and improve systems related to an effective training and compliance program 

    Training 

  • Create yearly training calendar; maintain event registration platform 

  • Promote trainings, both internally and externally 

  • Monitor the training roster and certificate delivery processes  

  • Provide back-up training support for all AZA training classes 

  • Establish and maintain vendor training contacts statewide 

  • Stay apprised of funding source compliance and training requirements and changes 

  • Evaluate customer feedback and take appropriate actions

Experience & Qualifications:

  • G.E.D. or HS Diploma required; Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred 
  • At least 1 year of training experience as it pertains to the Division of Developmental Disabilities requirements (including areas such as: CPR/First Aid, Article 9, Prevention & Support, and Direct Care Worker Training, etc.)
  • At least 2 years of successful Supervisory experience 
  • At least 2 years of related experience in a complex administrative support role 
  • Excellent computer and technical skills (must be highly proficient in Excel; must be able to work in multiple databases and systems related to the role)  
  • Must have your own reliable transportation and be able to travel regularly to AZA United's office and clinic locations throughout Maricopa County 
  • Must be able to obtain an AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card, provide proof of car insurance/registration and meet other hiring requirements
