The Staff Tax Compliance team member performs tax and other compliance functions. Compliance functions includes income, franchise, property and sales taxes as well as business licenses (which includes liquor licenses, sales tax licenses and various other related licensing activities). The role requires a basic understanding of federal, state and local tax laws, the ability to follow detailed tax filing instructions, and the ability to perform self review.

Responsibilities

    • Participates in the documentation and execution of all processes performed as part of tax compliance and participate in evaluating processes for improvements and efficiencies.
    • Supports income tax compliance and preparation coordination: Annual and quarterly income tax compliance for federal and state filings; Tax projection modeling/planning; Projects and initiatives to assess tax impact of business transactions; Tax letters review
    • Assist in preparing for and responding to tax audits.
    • Stay up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations at the federal, state and local levels.
    • Maintain effective relationships with vendors, consultants, and taxing authorities in support of tax and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

    • Minimum 2 years' experience in tax/finance required
    • Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance require.
    • Healthcare, real estate and/or senior living experience preferred
    • Experience with analytical trend analysis, modeling and tax planning a plus
$60,000 - $75,000 a year
