What you’ll be doing
This role resides within Third Party Governance Office (TPGO). TPGO oversees enterprise-wide supplier governance and relationship management processes to ensure that such activities are managed effectively and in compliance with CIBC policies and regulatory requirements. Working closely with other third-party risk management life cycle functions and stakeholders (e.g. pre-contract due diligence, control groups, vendor relationship managers), the Senior Consultant, Supplier Governance will support the TPGO team to deliver capabilities to identify the risk of foreign interference associated with third parties on an ongoing basis and take action where required to ensure CIBC’s supplier risk tolerance is managed.

How you’ll succeed
Risk Assessment Support the execution of a Foreign Interference Risk assessment, incorporating CIBC policy and regulatory requirements. Provide evaluation and written substantiated opinions on suppliers categorized as having Foreign Interference Risk potential. Identify beneficial ownership for CIBC’s third parties and assess whether there is any risk of foreign interference to CIBC
Liaise with various lines of business Provide guidance and education to business units and other key stakeholders so that ongoing third party risk monitoring requirements are clearly understood. As needed, liaise with various risk stakeholders across the bank e.g. Information Security, privacy, Technology etc. to support activities relevant to third party risk management
Process management and reporting Identify processes, policies, tools and procedures at the bank that need to be created or refined to support effective management and governance of third parties. Support the design and development of Third Party Risk control group reporting and metrics. Support the control program by creating applicable action plans to address heightened risks and working with relationships managers and line of businesses for approval and implementation.
Who you are
You have demonstrated experience in Anti-money Laundering, Sanctions screening or regulatory compliance. It’s an asset if you have any related certifications like CAMLS, CFCA or CFE
