Main purpose of the role:

Simmons Adaptive are actively searching for an experienced Financial Services Regulatory and Compliance Lawyer or Compliance Professional.

This is to support a client within the asset management space for 6 months. The requirement will be to attend the London office 4 days a week.

The successful consultant will be:

  • Reviewing relevant regulatory developments and updating the business as appropriate
  • Actively participating in compliance driven projects
  • Drafting and maintaining policies and procedures
  • Managing cross-border matters and potentially SMCR related work, as well as implementing any regulatory change 

Person specification:

  • You have substantial experience in a Legal or Compliance role with strong investment team and funds experience.  
  • You possess a deep understanding of the EMEA regulatory environment and can apply this to private assets and funds.
  • You are a self-starter and able to confidently support on a broad mix of commercial in-house matters.
  • You are able to work quickly and effectively to tight deadlines. You have excellent organisation skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads.
  • You can work autonomously but can also collaborate as part of the wider team.
  • You will be required to hold he relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
