As a Senior Risk Consultant within our Advisory & Digital Solutions Capability, you will lead complex assignments, developing and implementing innovative solutions to help our clients improve operational performance and assure project / programme delivery. 

Your role will require management consultancy experience, demonstrable expertise in risk management and a high degree of technical capability across enterprise risk, project controls, project and programme management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead challenging, multi-disciplinary assignments with our clients to improve performance and deliver complex project and programmes that transform the performance of the infrastructure ecosystem across the UK’s energy, water, transportation and defence markets.
  • Mentor, coach and develop staff, building morale and personal esteem and encouraging others to give their best performance
  • Support the Discipline Lead for Risk Consulting in developing and promoting new areas of capability, services and products to meet market needs
  • Support the Discipline Lead for Risk Consulting in marketing and business development activities
  • Assist in the development of a consistent approach to risk management across the Company
  • Ensure Risk Consultants are providing comprehensive and accurate information to clients by creating and adhering to quality management procedures
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and delivering value to our clients.
  • Deputise at key functional meetings where required.


Qualifications

Essential 

  • Significant risk management and consultative assignment experience within the Water Sector
  • Excellent knowledge of risk management procedures and practices, and potentially published.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with senior stakeholders 
  • May hold sales target and able to scope and cost tasks
  • Experience of producing risk management plans/procedures, leading risk improvement programmes, conducting risk maturity assessments, and developing risk models in accordance with APM Guidelines or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex risk management assignments 
  • Sound understanding of planning, budgeting, change control, earned value and other project controls techniques
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Experience of developing new service offerings and tailored solutions to address market needs
  • Consulting skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience and knowledge ARM, @Risk, Primavera PRA or similar risk software solutions
  • Detailed understanding of risk model development to conduct SRA and CRA assignments
  • Good written and oral communication including delivery of high quality reports, analysis results and risk management training
  • Degree level education in Engineering, Science, Business Management, Mathematical discipline or equivalent 
  • Primavera PRA, ARM, Predict, @RISK
  • MoR, Prince2, MSP, APMP Level 2 preferred
  • Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance, UK Citizen or UK Resident for 5 years

Desirable

  • IRM – Full Member, or member of APM preferred
