Zuse Talent is partnering with a leading data analytics and digital solutions consultancy, seeking a talented individual to join their rapidly growing EMEA banking analytics team.
They are a globally recognised company specialising in data analytics, digital operations, and solutions, with strong domain expertise, robust data capabilities, and advanced technologies like AI and ML.
As a senior credit risk specialist, you will play a pivotal role in their banking analytics team, engaging in exciting opportunities to develop innovative solutions, address complex risk and regulatory problems, and establish yourself as a subject matter expert during senior client interactions. You will share your knowledge with clients, assisting them on their regulatory compliance and risk management journey. This client-facing role requires your presence at client locations (around 24% to 40% of the time), collaborating with the team during solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay up to date with new risk regulations issued by PRA and ECB, interpreting their implications for compliance in the banking sector.
  • Provide subject matter knowledge and expertise to the front-end sales and account management team, establishing rapport and trust with clients and prospects.
  • Collaborate closely with the front-end and delivery teams to convert client problems into actionable plans, frameworks, and solutions.
  • Deliver presentations and engage in regular governance meetings with clients to strengthen trust and demonstrate subject matter expertise.
  • Contribute to driving growth by deepening existing relationships with prestigious UK banks and establishing new partnerships with other large banks, fintechs, and payment providers.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in credit risk for banks or consulting firms.
  • Expertise in capital compliance (IRB, IFRS9, CRR) and model risk management.
  • Experience in collections, fraud, customer management or risk data management.
  • Master's degree in business, accounting, or similar graduate degree.

Skills and Personal Attributes:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write compelling presentations.
  • Problem-solving and consulting mindset, demonstrating a proactive approach to solving client problems.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK, Ireland, and the EU.
