What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Data Governance Adherence, you will play a critical role in owning and managing the Enterprise Data Governance Policy, and adherence to Policy requirements and related processes. You will support the Enterprise Data Governance team mandate and accountabilities through collaboration with key members of the Chief Data Office (CDO), Enterprise Data and Records Management Office (EDRMO), Risk and control partners across the enterprise, enabling demonstration of data governance oversight and challenge responsibilities to reduce and mitigate Data Risk. Your responsibilities will encompass support and assessment of Data Governance execution, Data risk assessment and mitigation understanding, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of the enterprise’s Data & Records Management practices.
You will lead the development and ongoing enhancement of EDRMO data governance policies, standards, procedures, processes, and key controls to establish and maintain a robust Enterprise Data Governance Practice. You will oversee the creation and management of critical oversight mechanisms and controls within EDRMO, as well as across Strategic Business Units and Functional Groups, to facilitate control testing, effective challenge, and monitoring of compliance with EDRMO policies and standards. You will support both planned and ad hoc development and delivery of program and project work packages related to Data Governance Adherence and Risk Assessments. Additionally, you will assist in data risk assessment activities as required, ensuring effective management of data risks identified through processes such as Change Initiative Risk Assessment (CIRA), Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Technology Triage, and Third Party Risk Assessment (TPRA).

How You’ll Succeed
Product Ownership – Develop deep knowledge and understanding of EDG policies, standards, and procedures and take accountability for implementation of an adherence strategy that provides oversight of Data Governance practices and adherence to policy and standards, across the enterprise.
Partnership and Collaboration – Participate as a thought partner and provide advice and recommendations that assist in the development and evolution of our Enterprise Data Governance business mandate, including input and recommendation on key Data Governance metrics, and key controls, and help our business make better decisions faster.
Interpersonal Relationships – Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Planning and Organization – Leverage strong planning and organization skills to ensure adequate oversight in timely, accurate and complete delivery against commitments.
Project Delivery – Understanding and experience of project management and delivery frameworks, ability to lead and support timely and adequate delivery of project work and assigned initiatives, including participation in project meetings, interacting and collaborating with team members and other department, to ensure effective and sustainable implementation.
Who You Are
You have 4-6 years of experience in data governance, data and records management, policy and compliance or risk management. Strong understanding of data governance and management best practices and data lifecycle management. Strong technical writing skills.
