The role
As a Senior Compliance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will play a pivotal role in demonstrating compliance to the appropriate regulatory authorities by leading a team of compliance engineers through process, supply chain, operations and maintenance activities across the function. 


Day-to-day, you’ll lead quality assurance/control including continuous improvement activities across the department ensuring compliance to the required standards.

 

  • To assist the Facilities Operations Management Group Training and Compliance Manager in measuring and reviewing conformance with the Business Management System, ISO 9001 and customer specified requirements.
  • To Manage and assist with Internal process / product Audits and investigations as specified by the Facilities Operations Management Group Training and Compliance Manger.
  • Defining all non-conformities arising from internal or external audits, and informing managers concerned to enable corrective actions to be formulated, assessed, monitored to completion and verified.
  • To lead on desktop documentation audits of Life Time Quality Records (LTQRs) to provide assurance that the records meet specified requirements.
  • Providing assistance and guidance to projects on requirements of quality and health and safety compliance throughout the project life cycle.

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

 

Essential experience of the Senior Compliance Engineer

  • Experience of quality assurance support.
  • Experience of planning and leading independent assurance activities.
  • Providing advice and guidance on quality related matters.
  • Applying a range of tools and techniques in support of problem solving or improvement activities. 
  • Providing support and guidance in the professional development of their team.

 

Qualifications for the Senior Compliance Engineer

  • Relevant Level 5 Qualification or recognised professional status or significant experience in relevant quality discipline
  • A Level 3 Qualification in an engineering / scientific discipline 
  • Yellow Belt Six Sigma trained / CQI Level 3 qualified or willing to qualify.
  • ISO9001:2015 Internal Auditor (UKAS) or willing to qualify.

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
