CompleteRx has an opening for a Regulatory Compliance Technician to help provide exceptional patient care at a 96-bed acute care facility located in Greenville, Texas.
Position Summary:
The Regulatory Compliance Technician is responsible for assisting the Director of Pharmacy in assessing all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements to gain compliance in all areas. The Regulatory Compliance Technician will assist the Director of Pharmacy in reviewing and maintaining all policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the hospital that pertain to a safe medication management system and the pharmacy.
Key Success Factors:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory governing bodies including but not limited to State-specific Department of Health (TDH) and Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS).
- Identify, report, and correct potential compliance issues promptly for patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

What You Will Do
Compliance Assessments
- Assist in managing and monitoring the resolution of JCAHO Survey findings.
- Assist in managing and monitoring compliance for medication management systems.
- Assist in managing and monitoring compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.
- Assist in Managing and monitoring compliance with Pharmacy/Hospital policies and
- procedures.
- Assist in the organizing and maintenance of the Pharmacies to meet regulatory compliance.
- Assist in ensuring continuous regulatory compliance.
- Review charts to identify possible drug diversion (anesthesia & nursing).
- Review monthly MedAssist report and follow up on possible issues.
- Track, identify, and report overrides from automated dispensing cabinets.
- Track, identify, and report discrepancies from automated dispensing cabinets for both nursing and pharmacy.
- Track, identify, and report refrigerated temperatures in all medication areas.
- Compare Secure Vault (controlled substances) to ensure all items are delivered to the appropriate area and report discrepancies to the Director of Pharmacy.
- Work with pharmacists to ensure monthly narcotic vault count is conducted monthly with all variances accounted for or reported to the Director of Pharmacy.
- Collect error sheets from pharmacists to calculate staff percentages.
- Match charges to the correct account from automated dispensing cabinets daily.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of patient, visitor, and employee information. Comply with HIPAA Privacy Rule standards.
- Perform pharmacy technician duties as needed.
Administration
- Set up ADM users.
- Maintain inventory levels on floors.
Maintain competency for the position:
- Maintains pharmacy technician license and certification.
- Ensures applicable CE records and licensure and certification are maintained in department files.
- Sustains professional competency and promotes development through participation in in-services, workshops, seminars, and professional organizations.
- Completes all competency/skills assessment requirements of the position.
What You Will Need
Requirements:
- Posses current pharmacy technician registration in the State of Texas.
- Possess National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Three to five (3-5) years of hospital or outpatient experience or equivalent training.
- Prior experience in assessing regulatory or state board compliance.
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel - Intermediate skills.
