Job Title: Licence Compliance Associate

Reports to: Senior Counsel Anti-Piracy & Licence Compliance

Region & Area: UK

The Job:

To assist across the legal operations team.  This will include:

  • Anti-Piracy and Licence Compliance
  • Corporate
  • Employment and Investigations
  • Disputes
  • Global dimension

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting across the Legal Operations Team
  • Assisting on global anti-piracy and licence compliance cases
  • Disputes issues with partners, suppliers and customers both pre action and when proceedings are issued
  • Assisting on HR matters with employee related issues
  • The full range of corporate issues including intercompany aspects, m&a and legal entity rationalisation.

  • Anti-Piracy and Licence Compliance Senior Counsel and wider team
  • Director of Corporate
  • Director of Litigation
  • Director of Employment

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to grasp and interpret complex data
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with internal teams
  • Ability to work independently
  • Understanding of Intellectual Property laws
  • Experience and/or exposure to the software industry (advantageous)
  • Exposure to software piracy and licence compliance (advantageous)

Hybrid working

By default, employees are expected to be in their local AVEVA office three days a week, but some positions are fully office-based. Roles supporting particular customers or markets are sometimes remote.
