Compensation: We offer our employees a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our organizational culture, mission, and core values. The hourly range for this position is $31.34 to $33.15 and may commensurate with experience.

Position Description: The Fair Housing Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring adherence to the Fair Housing Act across SOME�s portfolio. This role involves overseeing the legal and equitable handling of rent and lease violations, ensuring all processes align with fair housing regulations and organizational policies.

Required: High School Diploma; 1-3 yrs. property, administrative or compliance management experience

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree; 1-3 yrs. legal experiences; demonstrated proficiency in the application of Fail Housing compliance, basic accounting experience. Fair Housing Compliance Certification (to be obtained within first year of employment).

Required License/Certification: LIHTC (tax credit ) specialist certification is preferred

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours per week)

Expected Contributions: Housing Compliance

  • Perform tax credit and file compliance audits and support updates/corrections.
  • Support Asset Management team in the preparation of documents for audit requests.
  • Set up staff accounts in Onesite, Windsor, The Work Number and Kwiktag
  • Ensure compliance with the Fair Housing Act by ensuring late rent violations are handled equitably across SOME�s portfolio and in accordance with SOME�s policy.
  • Audit to ensure that signed payment plans are in place by the 20th of the month for any new outstanding rent balances. If a payment plan in not in place, the resident should be included in the suit filing. If the payment plan is in place, document that a �new payment plan is in place�. If not, document �filing suit� on the resident D&P report.
  • Audit D&P report to ensure that established payment plan commitments are meet. If they are meet, document on the resident D&P report �payment plan obligations meet�
  • Develop and maintain a 30 Day Correct or Vacate template library utilizing existing examples for the most prevalent lease violations

Expected Contributions: Accounting

  • Produce on-demand reports and ensure resident data is reliable and accessible to leadership
  • Ensure resident ledgers have proper back up and that balances are correct
  • Enter rent payments and subsidy payments in Onesite Database and submit payments to finance department

  • Ability to create checks and balances during resident ledger and monthly delinquent and prepaid report audits
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Reports to: Housing Compliance and Finance Manager

Position Designation: This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. You may be subject to drug testing prior to or during your employment with SOME. In this position, you may be disqualified from employment based on the presence of marijuana in test results, even if you possess a medical card authorizing the use of medical marijuana.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Requires looking at a computer screen for several hours a day. May be required to sit or stand for long periods
