Staffinity is currently seeking a IT Risk Data Analyst for a client located in Halifax, NS. This is a full-time, permanent position with salary, benefits, RRSP matching and vacation. The base salary range is 130-140k. This is a day shift position, Monday to Friday and will work on a hybrid model of 2 days per week in the office and 3 from home.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL, Python, Tableau, and Excel to analyze risk-related data.
- Collaborate with IT risk management teams to understand their data analysis needs and deliver precise reports.
- Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques to identify trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting and analytics activities.
- Proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data manipulation.
- Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
- Advanced proficiency in Tableau for creating intuitive and actionable dashboards.
- Expertise in Excel for data analysis, including the use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charting.
- Business knowledge in IT Risk Management and Reporting to understand and interpret the data correctly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within IT risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex findings and ideas in plain language.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
- Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
- Familiarity with Dagster for orchestrating data pipelines.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies to support application deployment consistency.
