What you’ll be doing

This role resides within Third Party Governance Office (TPGO). TPGO oversees enterprise-wide supplier governance and relationship management processes to ensure that such activities are managed effectively and in compliance with CIBC policies and regulatory requirements. Working closely with other third-party risk management life cycle functions and stakeholders (e.g. pre-contract due diligence, control groups, vendor relationship managers), the Consultant, Supplier Governance, will support the Third Party Ongoing Monitoring team to deliver capabilities to monitor the risk profile of CIBC’s existing supplier relationships on an ongoing basis, communicate and take action where required to ensure CIBC’s supplier risk tolerance is managed.

How you’ll succeed

  • Relationship Management - Work with vendor relationship managers to ensure suppliers are adhering to contract requirements. Provide guidance and education to business units and other key stakeholders such that ongoing supplier risk monitoring requirements are clearly understood

  • Risk Analysis - Support the execution of a risk-based ongoing supplier risk monitoring program for the US region, incorporating CIBC policy and regulatory requirements. Support activities relevant to ongoing supplier monitoring from risk stakeholders for the US Region e.g. Information Security, privacy, Technology etc.

  • Reporting and Tracking - Create CIBC supplier profiles in the ongoing monitoring tool and co-ordinate with Relationship Managers on collection and analysis of supplier due diligence documentation (e.g. SOC reports, certificates of insurance, financial reports, SLA reports etc.). Identify processes, policies, tools and procedures at the bank that need to be created or refined to support effective management and governance of suppliers.
