Compliance Manager

Job Description

Are you an experienced Quality or Technical Manager or QA/QC Manager from the food manufacturing sector?  My client is looking for a Compliance Manager to join their team at their manufacturing faculty in North Yorkshire. Reporting in to the Site Technical Manager this is a permanent site based position offering attractive salary and benefits

The successful Compliance Manager will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the food safety, legality and quality of all products manufactured
• Site lead for the food safety plans & lead on customer COPs and 3rd Party Standards
• Stay informed of all changes to customer codes of practice and external standards applicable to site
• Engage with stake holders on how compliance gaps can be closed and coordinate delivery of these
• Manage own site internal audit plan and execution
• Effective management of team with clear development to support the sites succession planning
• Driving continuous improvement plans, for example complaint reduction/quality improvement & non-conformance reduction

The ideal candidate will have some previous relevant experience in a similar role from within the food manufacturing sector. You must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience of leading a team. You should also have Level 3 Food Safety, Level 3 in Health & Safety and Level 4 HACCP. A Food related BSc qualification would be advantageous as would experience of using VISO. The role would suit someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environmentHAH

This role offers an attractive salary up to £55,000 DOE.  The business is commutable from is commutable from Malton, York, Scarborough, Driffield, Thirsk and surrounding areas.
