The Compliance Investigations Manager will coordinate and manage internal corporate compliance investigations and related matters regarding cybersecurity and data protection. This may involve allegations involving violations of law, regulation, or policy which materially directly impact functional areas within Publix that have existing corporate compliance programs, with specific focus on the Data Incident Compliance Program. The Compliance Investigations Manager must demonstrate a strong understanding of laws, regulations, concepts, and practices applicable to internal corporate compliance investigations. Additionally, the Compliance Investigations Manager must demonstrate a strong understanding of technical concepts associated with cybersecurity and data protection.

This role reports to the Senior Manager of Compliance and Ethics Investigations and will serve as the lead coordinator of assigned corporate compliance cybersecurity and data protection initiatives, will act as the subject matter expert on handling assigned corporate compliance investigations for the Compliance Department and related stakeholders, including business partners, business leaders and associates, and will partner with those stakeholders and others to ensure the prompt and thorough investigation of corporate compliance-related matters.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Legal, Cybersecurity, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • at least 6 years’ experience independently managing internal corporate compliance/cybersecurity investigations; and/or
  • at least 6 years’ experience working with legal, regulatory and compliance processes; and/or
  • at least 6 years’ experience coordinating internal investigations and managing investigative files.
  • obtain Cybersecurity certification within 2 years of hire date.
  • knowledge of project management techniques, strategic planning continuous quality improvement methodology
  • knowledge of Chapter Eight of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and other similar rules relating to executing effective corporate compliance programs
  • working knowledge of the criminal justice system and criminal investigation processes
  • knowledge of methods used to analyze and interpret large quantities of data.
  • knowledge of communication types and vehicles, and the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Eight (8) years’ experience coordinating internal investigations and managing investigative files.
