Job Skills / Requirements

The Compliance Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the Compliance Manager and Compliance Officers in ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations within the screening services management framework. This position will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of compliance activities across the Pacific Region, encompassing four zones and various screening checkpoints.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Compliance Manager to facilitate compliance activities, including audits, record maintenance, and procedural adherence.
  • Provide operational support to Compliance Officers during onsite audits of Passenger and Non-Passenger Screening (PBS, NPS), Hold Baggage Screening (HBS), and Non-Passenger Screening Vehicles (NPSV) at Vancouver International Airport and throughout the Pacific Region
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating quarterly onsite audits across the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Interior, and Northern zones, ensuring comprehensive coverage and timely execution.
  • Maintain accurate records related to hiring, training, certifications, clearances (e.g., Transport Canada), and other compliance-related documentation. Ensure records are up-to-date and readily accessible for audits and reporting purposes.
  • Serve as a liaison between Compliance Officers, Screening Contractor Training Representatives (SCTRs), Service Delivery Managers (SDMs), Operations Managers (OMs), and other stakeholders, facilitating the exchange of relevant information and ensuring swift resolution of compliance issues.
  • Identify areas for process enhancement and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices to optimize compliance operations and ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance and Reliability Clearance.
  • The position will be based at Vancouver International Airport, remote or hybrid work options are not available for this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a compliance, regulatory, or quality assurance role preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Familiarity with screening procedures and regulations (e.g., Transport Canada) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.


Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
