Fuel Transport is expanding rapidly and looking for a Compliance Specialist for our office located in Lasalle, Quebec. The person selected will be responsible of the carrier compliance process which includes, without limitation, reviewing, analyzing and verifying carrier applications, entering carrier information in the database, making recommendations to the logistics operations team and work closely with various departments, updating the carrier database, supporting and providing information to various departments.

Detailed Description:
- Review and assess adherence to company’s compliance process for auditing and verification of carrier profiles to onboard new carriers.
- Evaluate and manage risk by validating service history, credit, certification, permits, etc.
- Participate in the assessment of the service provider’s evaluation and provide recommendations.
- Work closely with logistics operations managers in an effort to represent qualification anomalies and seek solutions.
- Maintain the organization's systems integrity with up-to-date contracts and accurate information.
- Participate in building and maintaining a preferred carrier list to better answer the logistic operation’s needs and mitigate risk.
- Annual review of carrier performance, safety status, address issues and make recommendations.
- Monitor regulatory activities and industry developments.
- Create and maintain vendor profiles and codes in the companies TMS.
- Work alongside Accounts Payable dept. maintaining proper payment terms and payment information within our TMS.
- Participate in developing and maintaining carrier rating process in support of carrier/customer matching initiative.
- Other duties and assignments as required.
Skills & Requirements:
- D.E.C. with a minimum of three (3) years of work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word. (Intermediate level)
- Excellent verbal, reading comprehension, and writing skills in both French and English. The requirement of another language is required for this position as the candidate will be interacting and communicate with clients, suppliers and colleagues throughout North America.
- Detail-oriented, customer service oriented, multitask and highly organized.
- Dedicated commitment to providing superior, timely internal and external customer service.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills in a team environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and/or logistics industry is an asset.
